Meeting point and time: Car Park of the Cover Bridge Inn, East Witton. Time: 0900 start.

Route: A very pleasant and essentially level walk on the north bank of the River Ure, through Thornton Steward to Kilgram Bridge, returning via Jervaulx Abbey and the south bank of the Ure. It takes in some most attractive and generally gently undulating countryside with just 3 stiles and, currently (14 Sep) no wet and/or muddy sections.
