Talk on 16th February 2022

On February 16th, Michael Wardle gave us a talk on “An Actor’s Life for Me “. While in an ‘ordinary’ day job, Michael joined a local amateur acting group in order to make friends. This led to 50+ years on the stage, through local personal tuition followed by a 2 year actor- training course at Guildford.

He talked about learning lines, going to auditions, having periods of unemployment and living in bed and breakfasts and shared houses while acting with local repertory companies (including our own Harrogate Theatre). Roles in TV and the West End followed including meeting many of his heroes in the acting profession. A fascinating insight into a remarkable acting life.
