Talk on 6th April 2022

On April 6th, Elizabeth Edwards gave us an absorbing talk on “Searching Family History”. Using no visual aids, her enthusiastic presentation made history come alive through her approach of quizzing relatives, especially cousins, searching archive material, much of it online these days and thorough detective work. Throughout, Elizabeth told us stories that made the dry facts come alive. Some involved her own family, and there was a belter about a young man who survived the sinking of the Titanic. Lots of practical tips and loads of questions from members.
